Wake up PAYPAL, funny that this video has been here over 2 years and no one has issued a rebuttal. People please realize whether buying or selling you are at the mercy of Paypal when it comes to your money. money.cnn.com Could you imagine with these new rules how much money you will lose? You will send an item customer will use it for 2 weeks and then do a chargeback and get all their money back! AND KEEP THE ITEM!!! This is a small video about the reverse scammers that prey on sellers and steal their goods. Please if you are a Paypal seller that has been burned comment here and lets get some justice. It’s not always the buyer of an item that gets scammed. Sellers get scammed as well. Listen to my story and see what I mean. Rate the video get it featured, make Paypal an ebay company wake up! Here is the email that started the whole thing! Dear XXXXXX XXXXXXX, As you know, we have been using the information you provided to dispute a chargeback filed against the transaction detailed below. Despite our best efforts, the buyer’s credit card company decided in favor of the buyer. Unfortunately, we do not control the outcome of the chargeback decision reached by the buyer’s issuing bank in a credit card transaction. By accepting the terms of the PayPal User Agreement, you agreed to accept the decision of the issuing bank as final and legally binding for this type of dispute. Yeah. I had the AOL Instant Messager screenname “myspace” back when Myspace the thing. Somone IM’d me and wanted to buy it. The guy bought it off me and sent me the funds. Since I got the funds through Paypal already I thought it was safe to give him my account information for the AIM sn.
He did a chargeback and my Paypal account was screwed in the end. The buyer gets his money back and he gets to keep my AIM account. I’m left with a Paypal account that I can’t use again.
@ambidextrality i don’t understand how you can side with the guy who painted a item he bought then decided to send it back. So i go to Mc.Donalds get a 10 piece chicken nugget and eat 5 and come back talking about i order chicken selects not nuggets. This is a crude analoly but works the same. You can’t alter or use to a point of making it a new item and then try to return it….i cant even understand you. Your a lunatic.
@ambidextrality Ok first of all he never sent it back, they wanted me to refund the money before I even got a glimpse of it. Then what do I do if he removed parts? Painted it crappy? Broke it? Or shipped it in a piece of crap box that caused other damage? Fact of the matter is he got it in the condition in which listed then altered the item. Why should I have to take back an item that someone altered? He tried to steal it and only sent it to paypal when I reported his chargeback to the FEDS.
@ambidextrality I didnt just supply a model number, I made a video of each item working, one of which I have on my other videos. I supplied full details about where they came from. The OEM is irrelevant these were 25 year old amplifiers. You are obviously the dumb fool since you are the first and only person to side with this scumbag.

He believed they were right, and then realized they didn’t meet his specifications when he tried to get the OEM to help him install them. Doesn’t sound like a scammer to me. Move on, and explain what they’re for better next time.
If you’re going to go to all this trouble to sell some expensive monstrosity on ebay, why don’t you make sure to tell him the military specifications first, not just a model number. You’re being a baby about it. The system is set up to favor the buyers, so work with them to get your item back. You can force them to ship it back by agreeing to accept it back. Then move on. Instead you were difficult, and now you’ve made your situation worse. You’re being melodramatic and unreasonable.
i have a question that nobody seems to know the answer too…. i added money to my paypal account from a website where you could make money online. My paypal account shows that i have money in my account. I only entered on credit card but the money doesn’t show in my credit card transactions. If i use my credit card will it use the money i have in my paypal or will it still use the credit card first.
I sold a “intangible item” over PayPal recently. The buyer did a charge-back and paypal did a transaction reversal. He already had the item, and now he also has his $600.00. I have nothing. PayPal gets away with this because when people take them to court, they pay them off. AKA “settle out of court”. The system allows them to pay their way out. There is nothing you can do. Money rules everything around us.

And the amplifier as I stated was from the US military and made to their specs. Fully indicated in the auction, and reflected in the low $1200-$1500 price I sold them for. Offers – Ads offering trial offers for teeth whiteners, acai
anti-aging pills and other miracle supplements blanket the Internet,
including trusted Web sites of national news organizations. The
marketing campaigns often falsely claimed an endorsement by Oprah,
Rachel Ray and Doctor Oz. Thousands of consumers complained to BBB
that the free trial actually cost them as much as hundreds of
dollars, month after month.

Stimulus/Government Grant Scams – Even before President Obama
announced the stimulus plan in February, scammers had already set up
schemes for misleading consumers and small business owners into
thinking they could get a piece of the pie. Offers for worthless
assistance and advice on how to get government grants bombarded
consumers online, over the phone and via mail and e-mail.

– Owning a cell phone or having their phone number on the
do-not-call list did not help thousands of people across the US put
a stop to harassing automated telemarketing calls in 2009. The
robocalls often claimed that their auto warranty was about to

rate on their credit card. The prevalence of robocalls violating
federal telemarketing laws prompted the FTC to increase restrictions
on the practice in 2009.

Lottery/Sweepstakes Scam – The victim receives a letter in the mail
pretending to be from Reader’s Digest, Publisher’s Clearing House or

total winnings. In order to get the rest, the victim has to deposit
the check and then wire hundreds of dollars back to the scammers
supposedly to cover taxes or some other bogus fee. The victim wires
the money, but the prize never arrives.

Scams –Scams targeting job hunters vary and include attempts to gain
access to personal information such as bank account or social
security numbers and requirements to pay a fee in order to even be
considered for the job. Another common scam was reported to BBB by
job hunters who were told by a prospective employer that they had to
check their credit report before being considered for a job. The job
offer is actually a marketing ploy for online credit monitoring that
costs the victim every month until they cancel.

Work from Home Scam – Countless Web sites cropped up in 2009 that
claimed you could learn how to make money from home using Google or
Twitter and offered a free trial of learning materials. The Web
sites often included the Google or Twitter moniker and logo. As a
result, many people who complained to BBB thought they were getting
a job with Google or Twitter when in, fact, they were being lured
into another misleading free-trial offer and were billed every month
for the materials and other mystery charges that added up to
hundreds of dollars.

Foreclosure Rescue/Debt Assistance – Many families are struggling in
the current economy and hucksters are offering to help them save
their house from foreclosure or help them get out of credit card

receive.
8.Scams and Rip-Offs} Mystery
Shopping – Consumers across the country thought that they could make
some extra money by becoming a secret shopper and evaluating the
customer service of various stores. The victim is asked to evaluate
their shopping experience at a few stores as well as a money wiring
service such as Western Union or MoneyGram by wiring money back to
the scammers. A seemingly real looking check is supposed to cover
the costs, but ends up being a fake. The victim is out hundreds, if
not thousands, of dollars.

Over-Payment Scams – Over-payment scams typically target small
business owners, landlords or individuals with rooms to rent and
sellers on classifieds or sites like Craigslist. Typically the
scammer pretends to be a customer, possible renter or interested
buyer, respectively. The victim receives a check for more than the
amount requested. The scammers then ask the victim to deposit the
check and wire the extra amount elsewhere, such as to a shipping
company. Ultimately though, the check is fake and the victim is
really wiring money back to the scammers.

e-mails/H1N1 spam – A perennial problem, phishing e-mails pop up in
inboxes and can take various forms such as appearing to be from a
business, a government agency or official or even a friend. Whatever

the victim’s computer with viruses and malware. In addition to
phishing e-mails, spam e-mail selling wares to prevent the spread of
the H1N1 virus were particularly rampant in 2009.
