Question by geopinky: Is Liberty National Life Insurance is a good company to work for?
Ok, like a few days ago i’ve scheduled an interview with National Life Insurance company and was really excited ’bout workin’ there until today, but tomorrow (8/05/09) i have my interview…anyways, while i was making some more researches about the company so that i could present my questions to the interviewer (u know when he/she will ask me if i have any questions…) and then i stumbled upon some acclaimed Liberty National Life Insurance “scams”…u know how people can be HORRIBLE on the internet. so anyways people (customers or employees, especially EX employees) were saying really bad stuff about the company. Like, LNL insurance doesn’t pay people fairly, and that if you just wanna buy a pair of shoes to wear then it’s a “fitted” company to work for, and all the bad things u could imagine…in fact, the ex employees were really crucial about the company.
So now, i’m really nervous about working for them you know? I mean what if what those ppl are telling the truth and that i’m just heading toward god knows what?! What if i get the job and realize then that everything that was being said on the internet was true? What if they don’t pay me fairly? or i don’t know….
All of this has gotten me very frustrated…so if any of u guys can be any help with reliable sources, or just helpful suggestions would be more than great!
Thankx and oh lol i didn’t realized i wrote so much…sorry ’bout that though….

Best answer:

Answer by Evolution Of Wealth
If you are going to work for a life insurance company why not work for the biggest or the best. You could go work for Prudential, MetLife, John Hancock, MassMutual, Guardian, NY Life. What made you pick Liberty National? Did you interview with other companies? If you want to be the best in an industry work at the best. What will working at a smaller company do for you? In time you’ll probably end up at the larger company anyways. They should all pay about the same except the larger companies will probably have more resources available. If you want more specific advice just ask. Please let me know if you have any questions.

The Biggest Work at Home Con Jobs

This article is not aimed at discouraging people from starting Home based business through the Internet, but to guide the people about the Business opportunities available on the net that are bogus and illegitimate. These are more popularly termed as Scams. There are numerous opportunities available on the Internet for starting a home-based business successfully. Some of these opportunities are really success oriented. However all these business strategies require hard work and dedication besides thorough knowledge about the market.

Some of these opportunities are quick and easy way of making money. Before getting involved into any business opportunity through the Internet, people must make themselves cautioned against the fraudulent scams. They should not get carried away by people who try to fool others using fake testimonials, documents, guarantee cards, and offering huge income potentials in short period of time.

There are many reliable work at home jobs on the Internet. These jobs do not claim to give easy money in short period of time. These jobs are based on hard work and open-minded communication between the employers and trusted employees through telecommuting. These jobs are more or less similar to the regular jobs in many ways. The employee must first qualify for the job that is offered. He must then develop trust with the employer through dedicated work. Most of these telecommuting jobs are treated as part time opportunities. Another way of working on the Internet is to work as freelancer or on independent contract. You can work as article writer, consultant, editor, designer and numerous other ways. With all these type of opportunities the risk of getting involved in scams is less.

The Internet business opportunity scams are more common in sales endeavors. The scrupulous people who run the Internet scams are always on the look out for a naïve wishful and desperate surfer. Many homemakers, and elderly people become a prey under these scams. Before getting it to any business option, people must get a thorough knowledge about these scams. They can get all the necessary information from the Better Business Bureau and Federal Trade Commission. These organizations help you to keep away from the Internet based scams and also help to verify the offers on the net and file complaints if necessary. Another way to avoid scams is to start up the home based business after getting the necessary information from the Small business Administration.

It is essential for people to come forward and report the scams however small be the money involved. Scams have proliferated through Internet because of the access to millions of customers. The most commonplace for Internet scams is through the auction sites. Fraudulent merchandise sales sites are on the rise. The scammers try to allure customers by offering hard to find goods such as electronic gadgets. Thousand of shoppers who whisk their money have never received their goods. The people are advised to be skeptical of sites, which offer the goods at incredibly low prices.

Work From Home – Mind Your Own Business

Some folks who work from home can earn huge amounts of money and satisfaction. Due to the economy and depression like conditions for many of the unemployed, millions have been forced to look for alternative methods of earning money in these hard times. While there are many work from home opportunities available, the trick is to find the one that is right for you. Just remember that online businesses are legitimate and real, but there is always the occasional scam that you must be aware of. If earning money online peaks your interest, get some training because you may be able to work from home and mind your own business.

Of course a lot of work at home opportunity ads feature flashy video presentations as well as powerful incentives to sign up immediately, so you have to be very careful to study all aspects of these businesses. Although you may want to mind your own business and work from home that doesn’t mean that you won’t really be working. Be prepared for lots of learning, hard work, and contacting lots of people, because after all, customers are really nothing more than people. So, to find all those customers, you are going to need to expect to work more initially, until you get a system in place which will make your life easier.

The first step will be the hardest for you, because that first step is taking action. Be certain that you are prepared to dedicate yourself to your new business, because nobody else will. This will be your job so its going to be your responsibility to fail or succeed. Get your “why” clearly defined first, and set down some goals for yourself. You can change your life with a home business, whether you just want to earn enough to make a house payment or car note, or whether you have loftier goals like earning a million dollars. Either way, you increase your chances of success if you get some training first. Online marketing training is available and it can end up saving you lots of time and money in the long run.

Training centers like iMMACC TRAINING are excellent. At iMMACC TRAINING they not only teach you how to become an internet marketing master, but they also feature a built in turn key business opportunity where you can make money immediately. If you choose to go the route of a traditional college or University, then Full Sail U and The University of San Fran online program will be worth taking a look at. Although compared to iMMACC TRAINING, the traditional route is very pricey. Just remember to proceed with caution, looking for a legitimate opportunity and solid training. There is no rush because the internet is not going anywhere, and if you have persistence, you will eventually work from home and mind your own business.

Question by Mr. Addams ™²: How to deal with scam artists when you’re at work?
I’ve been asked several times to quit my job to work for a “pyramid scheme” or “get rich quick” program. They always start with, “we’re looking for someone like you……”

It really angers me, because to me, it’s like they are thinking “hey, this one looks simple and stupid enough. I’ll ask this one.”

I work as a cashier. I’m a customer service associate in a pretty nice place. I get commission. When Im at my counter, it is my job to please my customer. Even if it’s just to hear about their day. I’m not allowed to argue, or make them feel rejected in any way. So I usually play along. I give my spam email and usually respond with “Im sorry, Im not interested.”

It’s just terrible that they go to places like my work, and take up my time with this BS, and even more messed up that they always seem to want to ask me and not my co-workers ( like I got “sucker” written all over me)

How do I present myself as someone who believes in “hard work and saving” and doesnt buy into these “entrepreneur scams”?

Best answer:

Answer by highvl
You know, if I was you, I wouldn’t even give out my spam email. Politely tell them to leave you alone, or if others keep coming back, you can tell your boss about it, which I’m sure he does know. You could perhaps experiment with trying to humiliate the guy in public though (i.e. raising your voice loudly and saying, I’m not interested in your pyramid scheme), or something to that effect.

Just legitimate opportunities to work from home- I don’t have any official skills or experience except that I have worked retail and as an office assistant for a doctor’s office.

Tired Of Work From Home and Business Opportunity Scams? Here’s How To Avoid Them

More folks today than ever before are interested in starting there own home businesses. According to the latest US Census figures the number of people who are self employed, working exclusively from home rose by over 25% in just the six years between 1999 and 2005. With the uncertainty in the job market of the past few years, today the numbers are even higher.

Five years ago, I was one of the folks to make that move. I was an experienced successful sales manger, but I was putting in a huge number of hours, and with a young child who I was missing a lot of time with, I was ready for a change. I decided that I would try to put my marketing experience to work for myself, earning a living online.

At first I made a lot of mistakes and “drilled a lot of dry holes”. I knew the dynamics of sales and marketing, but I had no experience in how to apply this expertise to the online business environment. I put in a lot of time, “went to school” on internet marketing, and today I have several successful online businesses running. I started out basically from scratch, and now I’d like to help those who are interested in giving this a try by sharing some of the things I’ve learned about how to make a go of a home based business opportunity. This is the first article in a series I will be writing designed to do this. Today I’m going to start with three fundamental points:

1.Use Your Common Sense:

That may sound like a no brainer, but sometimes it’s easier said then done. If you’ve already started looking for a home business opportunity, and signed up for some information, you are no doubt being inundated with all sorts of offers promising pie-in-the sky results, where you’ll get rich practically overnight doing practically nothing. The emails come with subject lines like, “Make ,417 Dollars Your First Month While You Sleep!” or ” You’ll Make 300K In Three Months With Our Miracle Six Click Software!”.

It can sound very tempting, (particularly if you’re really anxious to start making money) but like I said, use your common sense. Do claims like that sound remotely possible? The old saying is true: “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.”

2. Avoid Big Up-Front Or After a “Free Trial” Charges:

No one, especially with little or no experience, should get themselves involved with a business opportunity that’s going to involve a lot of expense. (There are some good ones out there that don’t) There are a lot of scammers out there (and a lot that aren’t strictly speaking scams, but that don’t offer much of value for what they charge) who will be more than happy to separate you from as much cash as you are willing to part with.  They’ll load you up buying some product that nobody wants;

They’ll tell you that they’ll provide “everything”, all you have to do is market the product. (Never explaining of course, that it is the marketing that is 90% responsible for the success of the business.) Another technique that’s frequently used is to offer a “free trial” of the business opportunity, (usually a week or two) after which they start charging hefty fees to your credit card if you don’t jump through a bunch of hoops to get them to cancel your account with them. Letting folks in on the opportunity for little or nothing and then engaging in high pressure “upsell” tactics to try and get you to pay more and more in fees in the hopes of getting better results is another favorite. You need to be wary and completely avoid these sort of approaches.

3. Be Sure You Can Count On Good Support

This is absolutely critical especially if you’re just starting out. You may wonder, “how can I know this in advance of trying the business?” but there are some ways you can get a good indication. Before you sign up, communicate with those offering the program. Ask questions; see if they respond in a timely manner. Are they interested in answering your questions and concerns or just on pushing you into a decision?

In my own case, I was lucky enough to hook up with some experienced, knowledgeable folks who were enthusiastic about helping someone who was interested in making a serious effort. It made all the difference. Even with a good program, it’s a huge plus. (Today, I provide free personal training and coaching, both by email and over the phone for anyone who signs up with a program I recommend. I’m also always happy to answer any questions from people before they sign up, who might have an interest. The way I look at it, the more questions a person asks the more serious they are about making the effort to succeed; and the more they know about an opportunity before they start, )

These are just a few of the most basic things you should be on the lookout for when you decide that you want to get involved with a work from home business. Obviously there’s a lot more involved, but these are fundamental and should help you get a good start, and avoid a lot of grief.

I have a great program I’m working with now that’s an excellent opportunity. There are zero costs involved, and the income potential is excellent but also realistic. You can start making money very quickly, and payments are made daily. And as I said, I provide complete free, personal support. You can see how the payment system works for this program in a brief introductory video here: www.onlineservices.ws .

Question by MD: A question about match.com: is this a Russian bride on match? How does “scam” this work?
I’ve come across a strange reply to an email that I initially sent on match. I contacted a few “women” (I hope anyway), one of them replied to me, but it was in weird broken english–and I couldn’t tell if it was a front or not. “She” said she was living in Russia and was looking for a partner through match. It seems really fishy because her profile said she was in Michigan and the english wasn’t so broken on her profile. This isn’t the first time I’ve come across strange emails from people who claim their in Russia. Are these legitimate Russian chicks looking for a way to get into the states? Or is it some guy trying to pull a scam? Or both?

Best answer:

Answer by baldric_the_question_answerer
Odds are she’s / he is a scammer.

There are plenty of other women out there who are in the same country as you (and thus much easier to continue a real relationship)

Some hints to pick the real thing

1. Get photos – taken at various different times and places (and with other people in them)
2. Talk on the phone – regularly.
3. Do not disclose personal details – birthdays, etc.
4. Do not send money
5. Look for inconsistencies in back story
6. Beware of sob stories (esp regarding illnesses).

If a hot girl sends you two photos of her in her underwear and professes undying love (and unpaid bills) you probably have a problem

Question by Arliss: I’m an excellent typist out of work. Where can I find a production-based Data Entry position?
I type 85+ WPM consistently with few errors. I’m looking for a job that pays solely on production. I don’t want or need a base salary as a crutch. I do searches on the internet but all I can find are the typical scams “make $ 3500 a week entering data from home!” etc. is there a legitimate website or position where I can make a decent living using my skill as a professional typist?

Best answer:

Answer by Playswinger
you have to advertise to attract job offers .Try craig list, yahoo classified section and thousands other papers and media many of which may be free to put advertisement for your talent .Other solution can be to watch advertisements in papers to see if people need your type of talent to offer jobs .

There is no fixed rules for getting jobs Try through your friends relatives and approach directly the companies their recruiting department ,attend job fairs and employment agencies. I am sure you will get many offers

Irresistible Work from Home Legitimate Jobs!

I know, I know there’s always Hype and BS about work from home legitimate jobs in which you can make money. You may have even have tried some in the past. I did and failed actually. However, there are always important factors that determine if its a genuine home business opportunity. These factors include the leadership of the company, the work involved, and the products offered. You desire financial freedom and the ability to spend more time with your loved ones. To me, that is my American Dream. I love seeing my children and I’m sure you do too.

This work from home legitimate jobs opportunity is not for everyone. I really only want to work with a select few that have vision, desire success, and truly want to make a lot of money. I want individuals looking to make a genuine supplemental income at first and then looking for complete financial freedom. This is the genuine opportunity that will allow you to spend more time with your family and make a lot of money. The opportunity I am referring to I am not allowed to say its name. You have to love corporate America.

This new business opportunity, is a new health and wellness company still in pre launch. The official launch isn’t until around November 2009. The exciting thing is that this company is owned by a billionare. This well known leader will give this company tremendous leadership and power. All of these are important factors for success. This company though is one of the work from home legitimate jobs opportunities.

Sometimes in life opportunities only come once and I felt in my heart that this was not a home business scam, but rather a work from home legitimate jobs opportunity. With aging baby boomers the health and welness industry is going to explode. The timing is now to find out more about this exciting entrepreneurial opportunity.

Answer by Henry
That scam website has been around for years. Unless you have very specific skills, there are no real internet work at home jobs. You will just be bombarded with all kinds of scams.

Question by Jacqueline Burford: Confused about how Credit Cards Work?
I’m about to be 20 in April and I want apply for a credit card. I’m a little naive to how they work. I was looking at the Wells Fargo Reward Card at Wachovia and it was all gibberish to me! This is what is said “Enjoy no annual fee, and an introductory 0% fixed APR on purchases for 6 months, 3.9% APR for 6 months on balance transfers—as low as 13.65% APR variable after.
Make purchases with confidence—you’re not responsible for unauthorized transactions when you report them promptly, and we monitor your account for unusual activity to prevent fraud. ”

I’m not really sure how I pay off the money (I know it’s monthly but other than that…) I would probably get one where my limit was $ 500. So how much would I pay a month? Say I bought $ 200 worth of something or $ 400 in 1 month. How much would I pay? And the interest? I just don’t really get it. That’s probably sad for a 20 year old to say but I need a little help. Any thoughts out there?!

Best answer:

Answer by ms. single and lovin it
i dont know what the interest would be but pay all of it! If you carry over it can raise your interest.

Answer by Kittysue
It’s not from the same people – even though it might look like it’s FROM the same person, that is a spoofed return address and they are emailing you from a different account

Avoid Work at Home Hoaxes and Scams

Many people choose to work from home so that they can be close with their family and taking advantages of the flexibility that offers. This lead to thousands or maybe millions of advertisement offering jobs that requires one to stay home and recently work at home opportunity is ranking high on the list. And with so many advertisement and opportunities out there, how would one know which is legitimate for them?

From a research, a whopping 98% of money making scheme found on the web turns out to be a scam. Most of the time these work at home scams require you to pay an X amount of money before they reveal the tips to making money online. And the ironic thing is - they claim that their ’secrets’ can make you rich within hours! If that is the case, everyone should just quit their job! Don’t be naive, because nobody can offer this job to you.

In order to determine what is a legitimate home based business, one should get to know how to prevent signing up for work at home business scams.

Here are a few tips to follow so that you don’t get victimized by these work at home hoaxes and scams :-

As I mentioned earlier, avoid all listings that guarantees you with financial success or other promises that makes you money fast. Normally, these are scams and they don’t usually work. Imagine if it is so easy, everyone would just quit their day job and sit back and relax while the computer works for you.

When searching for the right home business, do a research on the company and check on their credibility and legitimacy. Request a list of contractors from the company and see how the work venture worked out for them. Once the list is in your hands, contact the given reference and ask him/her about questions that is doubtful to you. If the company refuses to give the list to you, then it is best to forget about joining the company.

Most home business scams requires you to pay money upfront before revealing how to make money from home. If they are a legitimate company, they will never ask money before telling you what you should or should not do. There are also companies that claim to make you rich within minutes and offer a refund if it doesn’t. And usually when people ask for a refund, these companies does not respond to their requests.

Most of the money making tips advertisement that we see online are mostly scams and they sound too good to be true. Always have second thoughts before you proceed at signing up with their offers and to take extra precaution, carefully read the criteria they need from you.
