Romance Scams and Internet Scams Booming

In a Global Recession, Online Scams Stay Strong

Online dating scams and fraud are at higher levels than ever, despite the global recession. Criminal operations worldwide, especially in West Africa in countries such as Nigeria and Ghana, but also in new high risk zones, such as Malaysia and the U.K. are reporting high incident of internet scams and fraud. Traditional areas of high risk like the Philippines, Ukraine and Russia are all at higher risks than last year. Internet dating scams are targeting consumers on trusted sites like Facebook and Match.com.

The scammer’s level of sophistication has increased, and detecting the criminal is no longer an easy task. Who is the real thing and who is after your money or personal information? It can be very difficult to tell. Professional online scammers now use software to hide or change their IP address, they use internet phones (VOIP) to call you on any local number, they speak professionally and gain your trust. They even have real identifications in some cases (stolen) and have addresses which match public records. Because of this new level of risk and criminal savvy, consumers often have to call on the services of a private investigation company to verify the subject.

One firm which has been leading the industry in international background checks is Wymoo® International. The company is now a leader in international private investigation and verification services, and global investigation services include dating background checks, pre-employment, due diligence and infidelity or surveillance, among others confidential and discreet investigation services. The company uses professional field investigators in over 100 countries, and relies less on automated (and often outdated and inaccurate) database search technologies. In fact, management has made it clear that they intend to remain focused on the best field investigators worldwide, and the latest Wymoo® press release cites this and customer service for their impressive growth record.

Whether or not you hire an international private investigator, industry experts offer the following advice. Be skeptical of persons met online, even if you met on large and popular sites such as Facebook, eHarmony or Match.com. Be aware that criminals target people on these sites and scams are often initiated there. Never provide your personal information or send money to anyone who has not been verified. Be very skeptical of anyone who requests money, for any reason. Lastly, if the relationship was begun online and is progressing, hire a professional international background check company to verify the individual or entity, and minimize your risk for scam or fraud. It pays more than ever to be informed and cautious.

“Use Proven Psychological Techniques To Win A Second Chance With Your Ex”?

There are dozens of makeup guides on the internet and almost all of them are a complete waste of your time. Second Chance Romance is one of the few that actually delivers on its promise. I’ve compared this “Get Your Ex Back” guide to other similar programs. Armed with a little more information, you can decide if it’s right for you.

It’s a very successful program that is simple to implement. It has helped hundreds of people reunite with their ex-lover. But because it has worked for them, does that mean it will work for you? One note though. It’s backed by a 100% money back guarantee.

You Need To Act Now Before They Are Lost Forever

Statistics prove the longer you wait, the tougher it is to reunite. Studies also show that there is a limited amount of time before you will be replaced by a new love. If you want your ex back, you can’t afford to waste any time. You must act now and you must do it right.

The problem every person faces in this situation is that they are totally in the dark as to how to handle it. Most everybody in this position makes all the wrong moves and ends up alienating the one they love even more.

Are You Making These Common Fatal Mistakes?

Spying or stalking Acting overly nice Telling your ex you love them over and over Contacting your ex’s friends or relatives Begging Insisting you have changed Apologizing for everything

So What Is The Second Chance Romance System?

Second Chance Romance is a easy to follow, step-by-step guide that will walk you through exactly what to say and do to reunite with your ex. It utilizes proven psychological techniques to get into the mind of your lost love in order to get he or she to do exactly what you want.

What You Get With Second Chance Romance:

Exact phrases to use to ask your ex out on a date – and they won’t be able to turn you down Your ex has found someone new? How you can use that to your advantage How to set yourself up for amazing makeup sex How to manipulate your ex to forgive you for cheating The perfect opening line to ignite the fire in your relationship How to apologize without looking weak or desperate

And much, much more.

You Can Start Immediately – Can Be Downloaded Instantly

Second Chance Romance can be downloaded quickly and easily, even if you’ve never downloaded anything before. You can get started immediately.

The Downside

The price. I thought it was priced about ten dollars too much. But it has a proven track record with excellent
customer satisfaction and a money back guarantee, so it may be worth the few extra bucks.

Try It Out For Up To Two Months, Risk Free

Another great feature about it is the 100 percent, money back guarantee. You can try it out for up to eight weeks, and if it’s not everything you hoped it would be or are not completely satisfied, you get your money back, no questions asked. And there’s nothing to mail back. Just send a quick email.

Payment is handled through Clickbank, a long-standing, reputable institution. If for ANY reason you’re unhappy, your money will be back on your card within days. I have personally bought several books through this company. The one time I asked for a refund, the money was back on my card the next day.

Based on the fact that the plan is so easy to follow, has been successful for so many people, the ability to download instantly and get started within minutes, and the money back guarantee, Second Chance Romance is definitely worth a closer look.

Picture yourself a few days from now, your ex back in your arms and this horrible time in your life is behind you for good. In less than 2 minutes, you can be on your way there with Second Chance Romance , a simple, step-by-step guide that teaches you exactly what to say and do.

Incidences of romance or dating scams have been on the rise since it came to public knowledge not too long ago.Yet,many people in the Western world are yet to grasp the reality of the fact that this scam seems to be on the increase.Perhaps, because most of the people who lose money to these scams do not talk about their losses. Many people prefer to bear the financial losses in silence, rather than disclose to any other party.

On the other hand, in Nigeria and other places where the scammers operate from, large amounts of dollars are being received on a daily basis from the scams. In the third week of March, for instance, a 20 year old young man, just seeking admission into the university, scammed 5000 British Pounds from a middle aged woman in the United Kingdom. He is not the only one collecting such amounts from dating or romance scams.Daily,in thousands of cafes all over Nigeria, especially the SouthWest, and other West African countries, tens of thousands of young people are actively working at the scams, looking for such victims.

But then, the question arises –whom do the scammers target for their activities? Do they just pick on anyone anywhere, or do they have a particular set of people that they focus on to defraud them of their money?

From what I could gather in my research, here are the main types of people that the scams are focused on:

1. Elderly people and other lonely groups: Elderly women and men looking for companionship are believed to be especially vulnerable to the scams. They are believed to be soft at heart, and willing to part with their money in return for romantic affection and attention.

Other lonely groups of people are also a prime target. Their loneliness makes them to be in need of some form of company, which may not be readily available around them in their immediate environment and which the scammers readily provide.

2. Separated women, recently divorced women and the like are easy targets of the scammers. The trauma of their divorce or separation makes them vulnerable to online scams. The scammers hunt on various dating sites for women like these.

3. Overweight people:these set of people are about the easiest to target and to scam, according to the scammers.

It appears some overweight people need someone to admire them and to love them the way they are.

And it also appears that a number of them are insecure emotionally.

And it appears that as a result of this, some overweight women seem to do anything to hold on to a man, even if they do not know if he is for real.

It appears that it is their sense of insecurity and their need for acceptance that is often exploited to get money of them.

4. People Looking For Sex: Many adult websites are a special target of the scammers. The scammers show nude pictures of themselves and engage in sexual acts with the persons they meet on the site.

Usually, the people scammed through adult sites never disclose that they were scammed or keep their losses to themselves.

All those interviewed and who lost money to scams through this means declined to give figures of how much they were scammed of

People living with AIDS, and differently-abled people are also a target of the scams.

This is by no means an exhaustive list of those being targetted by the scams. These happen to be the most popular ones the scammers target.

The best way to deal with the dating or romance scams is to know how the scammers operate and be wise as to their ways.

Educating yourself about these scams helps you to know how to prevent it from happening to you.

If you have experienced a romance scam before, you know that the experience is a bad one to have.

It is ne of the lowet points of anyone’s life, and could actually cause depression and bad moods.

Not a few victims of the romance scams have cried till for long hours.

This article continues to show you how you can heal after going through a romance scam.

4. Avoid critics and people who make you feel bad: It is very crucial that after this experience, you do not mix with people who will condemn you or make you feel bad about what happened to you.

Many people who have experienced the romance scams have been ostracized, heavily criticized and even alienated by their families, friends and colleagues.

Some of these people think that those who have fallen victim of this scam were stupid, or careless and so on.That is far from the truth.

It is very difficult to explain to many who do not know about the scams, how it operates. They may not fully understand what it means to be in love, to trust another person wholeheartedly, and then just suddenly discover that it was all unreal.

No one got into a romance scam intentionally.

As such, you need to avoid people who try to blame you for what happened, or make you feel guilty about it.It is important that you know whom to talk with on this issue, and who has access to this detail of your life.

It will not help matters for you to be criticized at this time of your life. What you need is understanding, love, compassion and comfort, not criticisms.

Do not move close to people who make you feel bad or horrible about what happened.Avoid them as much as you can till you have pulled through the experience and put the incident behind you.

Be restrictive with what you share with people, especially those who are likely to criticize you.

5. Join a Support Group: You can find a support group, comprising of people who have been through the same experience, join them and participate in their activities.

You will get to meet people who have been scammed like you, and make new friends. You will also get new information and insights that will be of immense use to you.

Being with people who have been through the same experience as you have makes you realize that this is not the end of the world. You get to see that others have actually been through the same experience as you have.

And this encourages you to move on.You can get any of the support groups by searching on the internet using your favorite search engine.

6. Help others: Helping others makes you grow stronger. I have literally seen many people who were once victims of the romance or dating scam, become stronger emotionally as they helped others. As you learn more about the scams, and you get over the experience, you need to share your experiences with others. It will help you in no small way to do this.

As bad and sad as the experience of a dating or romance scam is, there is a need to heal from it.

It is an experience that many victims who have been through it have described as being worse than a nightmare.

Although they never bargained for the romance scam when they began to look for a date online, yet when the romance scam happened, they didn’t imagine that the experience would be so horrible as it later turned out to be.

Some victims told me that they couldn’t sleep at night for days afterwards.

Rather, they would cry their eyes out on their bed. They let me know that they would wish that the whole incidence was a dream and that it would just go away.

But it never did.

The experience stayed with them for a while before they got over it. And many others who use the internet all over the Western world are still going through the same experience till date.

From my interactions, counseling sessions and experiences with many victims of the scams, here are some tips to use in getting over this scam:

1. Do not keep what happened to you secret: Find someone to talk to about what happened. Don’t keep your experience a secret just because you want to avoid being embarrassed or being ashamed.

It always helps to find someone whom you trust totally to confide in about what happened to you.

It is best to look for someone who will not condemn you for what happened. At the time it hits you that you have been scammed, you do not need a judge or a critic.

You need someone on whose shoulders you can cry on, someone who o can just listen to you, without making you feel guilty.

Look for such a person and talk to the person about what happened to you. It helps a lot to do this.

2.Avoid blaming yourself: blaming yourself won’t help matters at all. By engaging in the blame game, you would only be complicating matters for yourself.

It won’t help you to heal fast, but will only hurt you the more emotionally. You need to break free from blaming yourself, or from being held down by the victim mentality.

You can’t get over the experience if you keep blaming yourself. No matter what you did wrong, you need to avoid blaming yourself .

The time after the romance scam is not the time to look for whom to blame. What you need to do is to get over it first.

3.Look for professional help where necessary: if you can’t handle the experience alone, or with the person you shared with, then you need to see a professional counselor or minister to help you out.

In some cases of the romance scams, especially those in which the love affair had been going on for long before the scam took place, it might be better to seek professional help in addition to other sources of help.

This is due to the fact that such victims are often unwilling to let go of what to them seemed real and are too taken in by the illusion that they were in love with.

Their reluctance to let go of the experience could actually be a problem to them, and as such, they will need professional help to get over the experience.

Also, people who have experienced cases of depression due to the romance scam are advised to seek medical help.
