Is There Really A Charity That Encourages You To Save Green Milk Bottle Tops To Save For Wheelchairs?

My son has been asked to collect the weight of a girls wheelchair in green bottle tops, a charity will then provide a super electric wheelchair for the disabled girl. I have since been told that this is a scam and has been around for some time. is this the case?

bottle tops are made of aluminium metal if you save enough then is worth a lot of money, i save it for the next blue peter appeal, or the local school, it sounds true call the charity help line or the council they have a list of all the working charitys, good luck

where do they still make bottle tops like that? if its through school and they didnt send anything home, then its a scam……….
why would he do that anyway– all the milk you buy for the bottle caps would cost more then the wheelchair alone. and why doenst the disabled girl have a wheelchair? thats pretty f–ked up. .

I saved bottle tops for someone at my college! I don’t see how it could be a scam as, well, what on earth could a scammer do with all the bottle tops?
