How Can You Find Out If A Online Charity Is A Scam?

I want to make a donation to globalangels.org but I want to make sure that my money will be going to the cause.

All charities have to be REGISTERED – somewhere on the site, there will be some sort of registration number (it’s under “Contact” on this site)
I don’t know how the registration process works in the UK, but the information that they provided is:
Registered Charity No. 1102826, Registered Office 1 Conduit Street, London W15 2XA
Based on this, it does sound pretty legit – but I would still look into it before donating ;) ;)

Call your state Attorney Generals office. If it’s legit they’ll know about it.

    Good Question !
    1. email them and request that they mail literature to your house about their program …… give them your address, and you can decide, after you get their printed literature with an address and stationery, if they are legitimate
    2. in the meantime, visit the IRS website at http://www.irs.gov and look at IRS Publication 78. All of the IRS-approved charities can be found there. All non-profit organizations operating with donations from the USA must be registered with the IRS for tax-exempt status
    Good Luck !
