Fuel Saver Scams

With so many people online looking to save money (gas), I found this video. So I decided to share it with my fellow Americans. Fuel saver. HHO. Brown’s gas. Vortex.

@HHO ButterSkate Increasing the burn speed on the combustion stroke will do nothing to improve gas mileage. Why, because gas mileage depends on the amount of gas that goes into the piston BEFORE combustion occurs. And that’s controlled by the engine management system.

  • Voxson1

Great video. And no he’s not in with the gasoline companies, he just has got a good understanding of how engines and fuel systems work..so he’s telling you that if you think you’re going to increase your fuel mileage by fitting one of these things you’re an idiot.

  • frithwks

What interests me is how readily the placebo effect can alter outcomes regardless of the science.

I admit I was conned with the “Fuelstar” catalyst. However even though I was extra careful to log my economy over a two month period before fitting and many months after, I noted a definite 7% increase.

I saved in the first year $878.00. This means I must have made subconscious subtle changes to my driving for this to occur. I understand that the fuelstar did nothing yet the savings were real…

  • HHOButterSkate

hho isn’t supposed to add power directly to the engine as much as its supposed to increase the burn speed during the combustion stroke of the piston so you get a more complete burn

  • HHOButterSkate

    thats one crappy hho generator

    @1:55

45,000 gals of Hydrogen equals 15 Gals of gasoline.
    Hahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

I’ve been researching these products for a while now, and although I’m not going to base my decisions on it, I’ve noticed that most proponents for them have a hard time communicating, I know I can’t gauge a person’s intelligence on this alone, but when it’s the only thing I have to go off of, I’m more likely to believe a person that can form a complete and coherent thought. Not that I’m trying to be rude, but if you’re convincing someone, they have to understand what you’re saying.

@thajeeper those vehicles use highly pressurised hydrogen. AND have very different engines!!! You can’t just shove H2 into a regular engine and expect to have the same millage as a 50k $ LEXUS does.
You can’t even expect it to work.

  • kriptonis

@thajeeper but that next fuel is under incredible pressure in a sealed container. It’s NOT a bottle of water at room temperature and pressure.
It’s insane to buy these scams!
Do you really believe that if where so simple to run a car on H2 that we wouldn’t all be doing it?

  • inegma29

Ill agree with all BUT one. Yes your right on IF one where to use HYDROGEN ONLY to power your car but EVERYONE that is selling or showing on you tube does not claim SOLEY RUNNING OFF WATER, but rather ITS boosting gains by a happy marriage of HYDROcarbons hydro meaning water and HHO the secondary negatives we get from gas help and act as a positives for HHO and the negative sides of HHO help in a positive way for gas……cleaner less drag on pistons aka CLEAN combustion chamber……

  • thajeeper

The one thing people need to understand about all these products coming out is that they need to do their own research and decide for themselves. Listening to “experts” on whether these products are scams or not, you have to consider the source.
Maybe the gas companies are not behind them BUT oil companies lose big money if we all switch to alternative fuels unless they’re ready to retail that alternative fuel also: Pay attention to the new Shell ads – talking about hydrogen being next fuel.

  • thajeeper

45,000 gallons of hydrogen to go same distance as 15 gallons of gas???? Are you on crack? I’m surprised the guy said that with a straight face: There are hydrogen fueled vehicles and they DON’T need THAT much hydrogen. (Most use hydrogen fuel cells which essentially make it an electrically ran vehicle, but there are hydrogen internally combustion vehicles too.)
Hydrogen fueled vehicles are right now one of the leading contenders for being the “next” thing in vehicles, with electrical cars 1st.

But that’s assuming he NEVER says how to save gas. He does (time to time). This segment was just on what don’t work.

  • American4Facts

Actually cars have to run at 14.7:1 (stoichiometry), but sometime they run richer (on purpose) to prevent engine detonation (bad). If you want to completely run clean (unburt gas) you can do that without HHO, but you run the risk of damaging the engine (real badly too).
    ===
A better (??) system might be to just use water injection to prevent engine detonation (and run lean). Water injections were used in the late 70’s for just this purpose (before ELECTRONIC sensors). who know ?? …

  • American4Facts

No need to call names. Shouting (name calling) don’t win people over. Just facts and welcoming attitude.

  • Topazman12

If car companies go bankrupt, they could open new car makers who would build cars that fly, with unlimited electricity. No need for tires. We came close with the EV1. VW made a Single Seat Car. China and India built cars for less than $1000. In North america, we should be able to build a car for a price less than $5000 with the same horse power and quality as a $40,000 BMW.

dude are you on drugs?first the tornado its backwords, the metal on the whose that not for save gas its a flash arrestor! for the hho ! no wonder! it didn work! and the hho producer it even doesent hace any plates! give me a break! o de magnets try it on series of 3 or 4 . then you can say if they dont work amateur!

  • MAVERICKHAWKM55

Sorry I had a gammar mistake-First thing that people are (not *) logic when installing them.

  • MAVERICKHAWKM55

Those Turbonators, Vortex, Tornado fuel savers do work. However those spinning ones do not; small thin blades. First thing say that people are logic when installing them. They always install it the wrong direction of the blades. What you should do is install it before the mass meter sensor and make sure its a tight fit in your intake hose or pipe. I have a cold air intake, and it secures a tight fit. I not kidding I hear my own intake outside the hood.

  • Turbotrip

I bet his got his hands in the pocket of the gasoline companies.

  • authorjeff77

who is the scammer when it comes to HHO in this video?

  • svenalbert

This is corporate media remember, the claim is NOT to run the car on water soley,

  • graymonkey44

You’re both stupid… A fuel cell doesn’t use water as a fuel. It gets powered by pure hydrogen and the by-product of it is water. So there would be no need for any water tanks or bubblers… idiots. I bet you don’t have any credentials for that rendering me to believe that you are either lying or just have no idea what you’re talking about. Why don’t you both go reading a fucking book or something.

  • jopinoypower

lets just wait for the time to come and we will know who is the real idiot between the two of us.
