How To Spot A Work At Home Scam – The Top 3 Characteristics

Working from home on the internet has gained popularity all over the world. This has come up due to the freedom of being one’s own boss as well as the convenience of the working flexibility and being in the comforts of your own home. It is somewhat like owning a business. Internet is a place crowded with faceless entities, the only identity available is the website and e-mail address. The cyberspace has been gradually littered with swindlers or scammers who exist to earn by the means of deception. Most of the common people fall in the trap of these swindlers through the lure of work from home scams. It is not easy to identify such hucksters. Often people get in a trap of such a scammer and lose money.

If a person scrutinizes the general format and approach of the schemes and platforms that advertise for work at home jobs, then, if those ads bear fraudulent claims, those can be spotted. There are certain characteristics that insinuate about the work at home scams. But if these are overlooked, the people easily fall in the traps and lose their valuable resources. One of the primary characteristics is the presence of a factor involving usage of credit cards. There are many companies on the internet who are always on the prowl to fox people who are driven by the passion of earning fast cash via web related businesses.

The first sign you should be cautious of is divulging your credit information. Refrain from revealing your credit card details, these crooked guys like to try and make you think using three credit cards for payment is the proper way. They will earnestly request you to pay the initial fees or make investments in certain portfolios using the credit card. They will pursue you with every bit of patience. Remember this is the first diagnostic symptom of work from home scams. If you are not adequately aware of this issue, the floodgate can open to drain more money from you.

Some of the deceptive work at home scam guys suggest you speak to them only on certain numbers they give to you with extensions ext. giving the illusion of a large company. This is merely to give an impression of a genuine business opportunity. They will pretend to be a big house with many departments to deal with specific subjects. But, in reality, they are simply nothing more than a bunch of swindlers. Many job seekers easily fall pray to these tactics.

The third notable particular way of dealing with these cheaters of work from home scams is to offer vague information, specifically about unit rate of work, the way of your receiving the payments, frequency of the payments, and the involved risks of work rejection. Some would pretend to be not too concerned about the people interested in working from home. They will flatly answer the payment is subject to the satisfactory approval of the work by the principal concerns. The work from home scams adopt different kind of strategies to make the people believe that they are in the right kind of institution for genuine works. They will also desist from offering information on the quality or the deadline criteria.

realestatemarketingthisweek.com – World wide recession caused by the mortgage melt-down. Is inflation far behind? – Part 6 – What their ratings were based on was simply that nobody thought real estate would go down again. They were just going to keep going up forever, doesn’t really matter if you call it AAA or BBB. Isnt going to matter if the note never gets called. We certainly saw that for years in the mortgage industry. We would refinances somebody and a couple of years later they would call us up again and say hey my house went up 0000 in value and I bought a car and a boat and my kids need to go to school and give me another hundred grand out of my property, and it just kept going up forever and ever and ever and as long as that was happening everything was just fine. But then as we know everything just stopped. There’s only so much leverage that could exist out there and that is why the stop started if you will. Because as that leverage continued to balloon; how much more leverage can a Wall Street firm or a bank take on to buy up more mortgage backed securities? Oh I know well carve out these tranches and well sell them off overseas. So that is where it ballooned, how wide reaching and impactful has it been? Well we see it now it’s a global recession. It’s not a US recession for that reason. And that is starting to clean itself up, not only by the Fed aggressively here at home, by working with other developed nations around the world with their equivalents of …

realestatemarketingthisweek.com – Forget the doom and gloom, First Time Home Buyers can buy with FHA – Part 1 – Thanks to my very great friend Brett Fallon for taking the time to be here in studio today. Brett is one of America’s finest financial advisors. And of course the infamous Dan Havey. Now we all love Dan Havey because he was instrumental in getting me into the mortgage industry about 14 years ago. Most importantly, Dan was instrumental in helping us put together the loan modification hotline and he is the author of Real Estates Future. So today we have a few things we want discussed in regard to the economy, what’s happened, were wrapping up the year. You may have heard about this in the media, of course the media’s job is to scare you. Well our job is to tell you the truth. So Brett you have some data and some information that you wanted to share Some of the things you hear in the media, you cant escape, its pretty much doom and gloom, sky is falling, this is the next Great Depression. It’s over for all of us and we should all just pack up and go. That kind of stuff is pervasive out there and creates fear and a lot of anxiety amongst people who are either investors, people who are looking to buy a house, looking to refinance a mortgage. People dont realize there are certain tools that exist that we will talk about during the course of the show today. They should understand that some of the things that we discussed prior to today’s broadcasts were interest rates …
It sort of leaves a bad taste in the mouth when some one runs away with your hard earned cash after you have trusted them to deliver on their promise.

If you are not careful then it is quite easy to get scammed by a business opportunity or one of the dozens of work from home offers on the internet. If you desire to make money online then you may end up actually losing money instead if you are not cautious, and this is even more so if you are a newbie on the internet. In reality it is really not that difficult to identify a scam if you use a bit of common sense, and always do some research before you join any work at home opportunity. Just exercise some restraint before diving headlong into the first attractive business opportunity that promises you overnight riches. This just will not happen and the attractive offers are there to lure you into parting with your money. A good solid business opportunity will be founded on a useful product, and if there is not one, then you should avoid it completely.

Business opportunities that promise to build your downline for you and do all the work are mostly also scams, or there are going to be conditions in them that you may overlook when you neglect to read the fine print. Making money online is difficult work which also takes a lot of dedication, so why would someone want to do all the work while you sit back and rake in the cash?? Other opportunities that tell you there is no risk or that you can earn 00 in one week should be avoided as well. Instant riches are attractive sure, but if you have any common sense you know that there is no such thing as easy money.

Watch Out for Scams

Scams are attractively set up and play on people’s greed and laziness. Take for example these so called forced matrix programs. Forced matrix opportunities result in some people doing all the work, while others sit back and do nothing. Here you get a sucker or two working their butts off while other lazy people laugh all the way to the bank because people are forced into their downlines. Scams also use rosy advertising and wording that work on people’s feelings and desperation. Some other examples of business opportunity scams include stuffing envelopes for a pop, schemes where you share pools of money just by being a member, and typing at home for exorbitant returns. (However please note there are also some legitimate programs in this genre as well but they are few and far between). The best advice you can take is to make sure to do your home work properly, and to be sensible before buying into any business opportunity. Remember to always read the disclaimers and the fine print very carefully!!

Choose Good Solid Business Opportunities to work at home.

There are dozens of really superb business opportunities and work from home programs with superb earning potential on the internet. You will find that these will have sensible commission structures, proper tools, training and support and back offices to help you market them, and they will also not you promise overnight riches. It is possible to make money online with good internet products, MLM opportunities; pay to read opportunities and product promotions as an affiliate. For those who enjoy taking surveys, there are some superb opportunities to earn cash, prizes and free samples from companies but you need to do your homework properly to see whether the program has the credentials to deliver on their promise. Contact people that have put testimonials on the website and see if you get an honest answer before buying your way in. Just be level headed and understand that like anything else there are good and bad business opportunities. Lots of people will label a program a scam if it did not work for them but it may not be. It could just have been the inadequacies of the person that never followed the plan or guides of the legitimate business opportunity.

Don’t be an Easy Target! Learn How to Avoid Work at Home Scams

Work at home scams are a problem for a very good reason: People consistently fall for them! Work at home scams are a booming business for those unscrupulous characters that like to feed off the hopes and dreams of those who want to work from home. By knowing a few simple tricks to avoid the scams, you can rest assured that your venture into work at home business will be a smooth one.

The biggest rule to avoid a work at home scam is this: If it appears too good to be true, it probably is. If you have a little nagging voice in the back of your mind that says this isn’t legitimate, pay attention! Making big profits with little effort is not a reality in the work at home business, so if someone promises you the world for simply responding to their email, you know it’s a fake.

Speaking of email, be cautious of responding to any unsolicited work at home opportunity presented to you through your email account. Many scams will try to hook you by offering free information on a work at home opportunity, and once they have your response, they will attempt to pull you in deeper with big promises and little white lies. Simply delete these emails – they aren’t worth your time.

Know what you are dealing with. If you are being hired to recruit others to work for you, and you don’t get paid until they do, that’s a big red flag. If you are being asked to do this, you might as well open your own business and save yourself the grief of working for someone else! If you are being asked to sell something in order to make money for someone else, it’s in your best interest to be a bit wary. Ask plenty of questions regarding how it is that you get paid, and make certain that you completely understand and are comfortable with the process before agreeing to become involved.

If anyone asks you to send them money in exchange for a work at home opportunity, avoid it like the plague! This is a scheme, and in most cases, it’s a clear-cut case of fraud. If you do take advantage of this scam, you will probably be asked to place an ad like the one that you responded to, and offer information to someone else. This ends up in a vicious cycle that goes nowhere, but it could land you in some serious legal waters. Avoid these “envelope stuffing” schemes!

Finally, never be afraid to ask questions. A legitimate business will always welcome your questions and concerns, and will have viable answers. Be very wary of any business that refuses to spell everything out for you. If it’s a legitimate business and not a work at home scam, you will know as soon as you begin to ask questions about customers and other employees. If they refuse to give you references, it’s time to run the other way!

Work at home scams are very common, but you can avoid falling into their trap. Don’t be sucked in by the promises of big money, and keep your common sense about you! Soon you will find a legitimate business that you will be happy to work with, and work at home scams will be a distant memory.

Work From Home Scams By James Hagarty

Aren’t all work from home businesses scams? This is the number one question I see posted over and over again in various forums! After giving it much thought I realized that there is a main reason why so many people perceive all work from home as scams.

I have been working from home and doing internet marketing for years, and believe me I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly when it comes to work from home scams. But for every work from home scam there are at least four or five legitimate opportunities. Why is it that the 20% of work from home businesses that really are scams are causing people to fear that all work from home businesses are scams?

I think it is a matter of expectation. Most people who are looking for a home based business have never owned a business before. They are employees and are used to working a job where they trade dollars for hours, answer to a boss, and collect a check every pay day whether they deserve it or not.

A work from home business is just like any other business. There will be start up costs. There will be monthly overhead. It may take some time to get into profit. You can lose a little money – or a lot of money. You can also make a little money – or a lot of money. It is a business.

There are no guarantees! Anyone who tells you they will guarantee you will make millions of dollars from home is just blowing smoke at you. No one can guarantee that you will get out of bed in the morning and go to work, let alone do what it takes to succeed in your own business.

The reason why people think every work from home business is a scam is because what they really want is a work from home job. They want to trade hours for dollars, answer to a boss, and collect that check every pay day whether they have earned it (or more!) or not. The conflict is that people are selling businesses to people who really just want a job.

Working from home can be a wonderful thing, if you understand the risks and rewards involved in having your own business. If you don’t understand the difference between a business and a job, then you will think that all work from home businesses are scams.

Have fun, and good luck!
